My passion for design began at an early age. I lived in France from my early to late teens and these years were extremely formative, shaping my character and personal development. During this time, I used to save up my pocket money to buy designer brands that had their own cutting edge style: from psychedelic fashion to the full power masculine look. I always selected items that drew attention to me and were unique. And so, I used to go to Chatelet les Halles and loved garments designed by Azzedine Alaia. A French photographer I knew was kind enough to invite me to fashion shows in Paris and each show was more thrilling than the last. During the summers I used to come to Beirut and spend my time at a local seamstress, making clothes. I would then take my creations back to France. They were exceedingly well received which encouraged me to dedicate my life to fashion. After a series of challenges, I managed to walk down this path. After years of designing, I opened Little Black Dress in Beirut in 2010. With its incredible success, I opened a second boutique in Dubai in 2014.
Today my design sensibilities have matured. I still like items that draw attention and are unique, but now femininity and classy elegance permeate my work. I believe in giving the discerning women who come to Little Black Dress the personalised attention they deserve. This is why I like to be involved in everything from discussing the design to the last touch and final fitting. My clients have confidence in me and actively seek my advice. This means a lot to me and is one of my sources of inspiration.
Yours in design,
